12 Million Animals Are Suffering And Dying In Laboratories Every Year
Support wildlife, throw a party.
A hen is only an egg’s way of making another egg.
Nobody has ever seen a giant squid.
Many people have spent thousands of pounds trying to see a giant squid.
We know they exist because we have seen dead ones.
But nobody has ever seen a living one.
Around 12 million animals are still suffering and dying in laboratories every year despite an EU pledge to phase out tests.
Animals are cruelly shut away in cages then carved open, injected or forced fed drugs in the name of science.
Many are poisoned to death while others are left with agonising tumours, multiple organ failure or broken limbs.
New figures show only 100,000 fewer animals are being tested since 2005 when 12.1 million were locked up in labs.
Apes, cats, dogs, guinea pigs, mice, pigs, rabbits and rats all suffer agony and pain before death.
In 2005 the UK was cited as one of the worst offenders for testing.
And we are supposed to be a civilised, humane society.
