We spend over £30 billion drinking out every year in the UK, of which beer accounts for 40 per cent, wine 30 per cent, and spirits and alcopops make up the rest of the round.
Soft drinks account for £1.8 billion.
Carling remains the UK’s favourite tipple, with an 8.5 per cent share of the market.
