ConDems Sack 27,000 NHS Nurses

My doctor told me to take things easy.
I did – and I got the sack.

If the doctors knew a little more about religion,
And the clergy a little more about medicine,
It wouldn’t matter which you consulted,
As long as you had a good nurse.

What do vampire doctors say?
Necks, please.

In 12 months the Mid Staffordshire Trust, which oversees Stafford and Cannock Chase Hospitals, spent £1.4 million on locum doctors and £2.1 million employing agency nurses.
Why?
Surely it is cheaper and makes more sense employing regular full-time doctors and nurses?

If you are known to be seeing a shrink you are deemed to be going round the bend.
But if you are going round the bend and resist seeking any help you are deemed to be perfectly okay.

My doctor said to me: “What fits your busy schedule better – exercising for one hour a day or being dead for 24 hours a day?”

Hospitals for critically-ill children face savage budget cuts in the latest betrayal from the ConDem coalition.
Millions of pounds will be slashed from the budgets of Britain’s major children’s hospitals.
Great Ormond Street in London, Liverpool’s Alder Hey and Manchester, Sheffield and Birmingham children’s hospitals are all braced for major cuts.
Health chiefs warn of “extremely serious” consequences for the care of critically-ill children.
David Cameron promised there would be no cuts to frontline NHS services.
This is another example of his broken promises.

Hospital waiting lists will rocket as 27,000 nurses are axed by the ConDems.
The job losses – the equivalent of shutting six major hospitals – will put vulnerable patients at risk, with waits for operations stretching from the present 9 to 18 weeks to beyond 36 weeks.
Another broken promise from the lying, scheming ConDems.
