Inflation Causes Great Social Suffering

It is time to counter-attack inflation now.
The lesson of the Seventies was that inflation caused great social suffering.
Inflation is particularly damaging to retired people on fixed incomes.
Inflation appears to be the soft way of adjusting an economy.
It is, in fact, a device for switching money from the poor and the elderly to debtors and the Government.
Whatever else may be said of inflation, it is a swindle that always hits the weakest people in society.

There have never been so many unemployed – and without hope of finding employment – since Margaret Thatcher was ranting and raving in Downing Street.
You don’t have to be an economist to understand the grand Cameron-Osborne plan.
Slash public sector spending and hope the private sector hands out jobs and creates wealth.
The plan is not working.
The public sector is being slashed while business struggles to survive.
The new jobs that are created are part-time or temporary.
Cameron wants working class men with families to deliver Pizza for a living.
