I’ve Never Been One Of The Gang
When you know exactly where you want to go as an artist it works out for the best.
The most important lesson I have learned is to trust my instincts.
I listen to my gut and it’s usually God talking to me. It’s gotten me to where I am to this day.

I was a parent’s dream.
I did well at school, went to college and got a good job and was doing very nicely.
Then, at the age of 26, I thought, “I am going to join the circus, I am going to be a comedian.”

I’ve always been an outsider and I always will be.
I’ve never been one of the gang.
At school, there were Goths, New Romantics, Indie kids and Ravers, but I never fitted in with any of it.
I preferred to march to my own beat.
In many ways it set me up nicely for adulthood.
I never feel awkward about not fitting in.
I prefer to live on the periphery of things.
You get to see a lot more from that vantage point.
