Millions Of Poor People Face A ‘Spiral Of Despair’
Millions of poor people face a “spiral of despair” under Tory welfare cuts, Dr. Rowan Williams the Archbishop of Canterbury warned.
He said: “I feel very anxious… A lot of vulnerable people are worrying very deeply about what’s ahead”.
It’s a skewed view of life when to save money and cut the country’s debt, the Government is encouraging university students to incur huge arrears to provide the nation with educated, skilled professionals able to line our coffers in the future.
Surely, as some students are currently required to attend no more than a handful of lectures a week, it would make sense, with the exceptions of medicine, dentistry, veterinary science etc., to up the work rate and cut university degree courses from three years to two?
