Work Is A Luxury For The Rich

Young people nowadays, imagine that money is everything, and when they grow older they know it.

Of money, wit and virtue, believe one-quarter of what you hear.

There is nothing more demoralizing than a small but adequate income.

I hate banks aggressive marketing –
I know a guy who stole £10,000 in a robbery and they asked him to open a savings account with it.

Honesty is incompatible with amassing a large fortune.

Work is a luxury for the rich and a curse for the poor.

A rich man’s joke is always funny.

Never invest in anything that eats or needs repairing.

The trouble with a fixed income is that there is no such thing as a fixed outgo.

In business, you don’t get what you deserve, you get what you negotiate.

Whoever has the gold makes the rules.

There are two times in a man’s life when he should not speculate –
When he can’t afford it, and when he can.

At the end of the day, all money gets you is a better place to watch television.

Among the things that money can’t buy these days are the things it used to.

Poor is the man whose pleasures depend on the permission of others.

If I made twice as much money as I do, we could afford to live as we are.
