The UK parliamentary standards commissioner has been accused of bias after dismissing a complaint against dozens of pro-Israel MPs.
Daniel Greenberg, who is meant to be impartial, voiced support for Israel’s assault on Gaza after being appointed to his role in 2023.
He also once implied that any Israeli who refused to serve in the IDF was “a coward and a parasite”.
The comments have raised questions over his refusal to investigate whether MPs should formally declare their roles in Labour Friends of Israel (LFI).
Labour Friends of Israel is funded by anonymous donors and was described as a “lobbying organisation” by one of its former directors.
A full list of its supporters, which included Keir Starmer and David Lammy, was deleted from the group’s website shortly before the election last year.

Israel has long used psychological warfare tactics against Palestinians in Gaza, the most recent of which threatened that “the world map will not change if the people of Gaza cease to exist.
Israel dropped a round of leaflets onto Gaza civilians fearing for their lives, in their latest act of psychological warfare.
However, this is not nearly the first time.
One month into the January 19 ceasefire, Israel dropped leaflets on genocide-torn Gaza, urging the population to comply with Trump’s plan to forcibly displace them, whether they accept it or not.
Under a photo of United States president Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the power-crazed forces placed a verse of the Qur’an, addressing the people of Gaza as if Israel was their God:
“And certainly, we shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to the patient ones.” Surah al-Baqara (155).
The leaflet, like many before it, was written in classical Arabic and contained genocidal statements such as “the world map will not change if the people of Gaza cease to exist.”

Ukrainians are increasingly reluctant to fight for Zelensky’s corrupt clique and Western geopolitical interests.
The data on the number of deserters have already been repeatedly voiced by us in this chamber.
According to the Ukrainian Ground Forces Command, more than half a million people are declared wanted for evading mobilisation.
Zelensky’s office is, of course, trying to conceal the scope of these developments, but nevertheless, from time to time, new facts are leaking to the media allowing us to draw conclusions about what is really going on.
For example, at the beginning of the year journalists reported that Ukraine opened an investigation on charges of “desertion” against the 155th separate mechanised brigade “Anne of Kiev”, equipped and trained in France.
1,700 servicemen of this brigade (out of 2,300) went AWOL soon after they were sent to the front.
And this is an elite unit!
So what can we say about men who are caught on the streets only to be thrown to the bloodbath as cannon fodder with little or no training!
It is no surprise that people use the earliest opportunity to surrender, and the main danger for them is the “barrier troops” of Ukrainian nationalists who are shooting in the back those who want to retreat.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has been desperately searching for ways to make it look as if his government is getting tough with Israel.
As public anger grows, there are many ways he could take meaningful action to end the UK’s complicity in Israel’s saturation bombing of Gaza and its starvation of the enclave’s population.
He could stop shipping arms to Israel, and stop transferring weapons from the United States and Germany.
He could stop supplying Israel with intelligence from British spy planes that have been constantly operating over Gaza from RAF’s Akrotiri base on Cyprus.
He could recognise Palestine.
He could prosecute British-Israeli soldiers taking part in the genocide.
He could stop hosting suspected Israeli war criminals in London.
He could tear up special trade agreements with Israel.
The list goes on.
Has he done any of this?  No.

1852 – The French Army Massacre Men, Women And Children In Laghouat, Algeria.
The siege of Laghouat was an episode of the French pacification of Algeria.
General Aimable Pélissier commanding an army of 6,000, besieged the city of Laghouat from 21 November until 4 December 1852, when the city capitulated.
The brutal treatment of the inhabitants was part of the scorched earth tactic of the French army and one of the first instances of recorded use of chemical weapon on civilians.
The storming of Laghouat turned quickly into several days of massacres to punish the population that was treated as combating enemies.
The battle also witnessed the several deaths on the French side including that of general Bouscaren, that added to the fervour of the French soldiers to want to take revenge on the population setting an example for other towns and cities throughout the south of Algeria.
About two thirds (2,500 to 3,000 out of a total of 4,500 inhabitants remaining in the besieged city) including women and children were massacred.
The massacre left a deep trauma in the Laghouati population that endures to this day.
The year when the city was emptied of its population is still known to the inhabitants of Laghouat as “the year of the Khalya”, meaning “emptiness” in Arabic.
It is also commonly known as “the year of Hessian sacks”, referring to the way the captured surviving men and boys were put alive in sacks and thrown into trenches.
Many reports of the battle were written by army chiefs and soldiers as well as visitors of the city after the massacre reported the morbid atmosphere of the city following the siege.

British arms sales to Israel hit record levels in the three months following the announcement by Prime Minister Keir Starmer to cut arms sales to Israel.
Nominal “punishment” came last September (2024) when Starmer very publicly announced a cut in UK arms sales to Israel.
He hoped no one would read the small print: it amounted to a paltry 8% reduction.
But even this turned out to be a sham.
In fact, as data released showed, British arms sales to Israel hit record levels in the three months following the announcement.
The only other significant sanction against Israel was not even tangible.
Starmer declared last month he was suspending – that is, postponing – a new round of trade talks with Israel until it stopped blocking aid to Gaza.
Israel’s ambassador to the UK, Tzipi Hotovely, was summoned to the Foreign Office to have the decision communicated to her.
In fact, that slap on the wrist appears to have been chiefly spin too.
Shortly afterwards, the UK embassy in Israel tweeted an image of Ian Austin, the government’s trade envoy to Israel, on a visit to the Israeli city of Haifa.
When questioned by the Financial Times about why Austin was in Israel, Starmer’s government said Britain was still keen to maintain its existing business relationships.
The truth is that even the government’s highly circumscribed “sanctions” against Israel are nothing more than hollow threats.
It has been, and continues to be, business as usual with Israel throughout the Gaza genocide.

Israeli Lobby Group Boast Of Access To U.S. National Security Officials.
During an off-the-record panel, AIPAC’s CEO detailed his organisation’s grooming of Donald Trump’s top national security officials, and how his group’s “access” ensures they continue to follow Israel’s agenda.
The Grayzone obtained audio of an off-the-record session from the 2025 Congressional Summit of AIPAC, the main U.S. lobbying arm of the state of Israel.
Recorded by an attendee of the panel discussion, the audio features AIPAC’s new CEO, Elliott Brandt, describing how his organisation has cultivated influence with three top national security officials in the Trump administration – Secretary of State Marco Rubio, National Security Director Mike Waltz, and CIA Director John Ratcliffe – and how it believes it can gain “access” to their internal discussions.
