Butchered And Tortured Alive At Los Angeles’ Last Remaining Cow Slaughterhouse.
From October to December 2024, an Animal Outlook investigator worked undercover at Manning Beef LLC in Pico Rivera, California. The footage obtained, the goriest in their 30-year history, revealed violations of the Humane Methods of Slaughter Act and California law:
- A downed dairy cow shocked over 20 times with an electric cattle prod after collapsing.
- A cow shot in the head three times with a captive bolt gun.
- A worker stabbing a cow in the back of the head, then draining the cow’s blood by stabbing them in the throat. This cow moved for over two minutes in response to being stabbed, which indicated to multiple experts that the cow was likely sensible to pain.
- Multiple cows being butchered while showing signs of sensibility to pain.
- A cow vomiting while their face was skinned and being restrained while moving away from the knife.
- A cow left on the floor of the slaughterhouse for over half an hour.
- Extreme operational errors and equipment malfunctions. One cow was dropped head first from the slaughter line onto the concrete floor causing workers to jump backwards.
- Piles of unborn calf foetuses, extracted from pregnant cows sent to slaughter.
This facility actively profits from federal child nutrition programs like the National School Lunch Program, while subjecting cows to unconscionable cruelty in their final moments.
October, 2025 Update: Manning Beef, Los Angeles’ last remaining cow slaughterhouse, has closed its doors. While we celebrate this closure, we must ensure this facility never again becomes a site of animal suffering.

A Royal Bengal Tiger Killed By A Mob In India.
A Royal Bengal tiger was killed and dismembered by a mob in India’s north eastern state of Assam.
Angry residents from a village in the Golaghat district reportedly took the step because the tiger had killed livestock in the area and posed a threat to their lives.
Instances of man-animal conflict are not new to Assam.
This is the third tiger killing that has been reported this year.
Tigers are a protected species under India’s Wildlife Protection Act (1972), which prohibits poaching, hunting and trade of tiger parts.

A Shameful Increase In Animal Cruelty In England.
The South East of England has seen a rise of more than 15% in animal cruelty reports in the summer months, according to RSPCA data.
The charity received 2,039 reports from Surrey, Kent, and East and West Sussex between June and August 2024, up from 1,766 reports in the same period the year before.
The data also shows that reports have risen nationally by 33%.
Kent received the most reports in the region, seeing an increase of 10% with 903 in June and August 2024.

A Moron Boasts About Killing A Badger And Stealing Chicks From Their Nest.
A moron who killed a badger and then took Red Kite chicks from their nest has avoided going to prison.
The moron, Dewi Price, was part of a gang of morons with dogs who travelled from south Wales to mid Wales to kill badgers, and then went on to take Red Kite chicks from a nest.
He took “trophy” pictures of the badger-killing, and boasted about his activities online.
He also filmed himself interfering with the nest.
Price had previously been convicted at trial at Newport Magistrates Court of a string of animal offences before he appeared in the dock of Swansea Crown Court for sentencing.

Summer Is A Season Of Pain, Fear And Suffering For Thousands Of Animals.
The RSPCA received 34,401 cruelty reports between June and August 2024, up from 25,887 in the same period the year before.
Among those to be hurt were Berlioz, a kitten in Warwickshire which suffered multiple fractures to his skull and ribs.
The report also mentions Benito in Walsall, a cat which suffered life-threatening injuries including fractures from a number of attacks.
The charity said the increase was partly due to a rise in pet ownership during the coronavirus pandemic.
It said longer days in the summer also meant more people were out and likely to witness cruelty, contributing to report spikes.
The report said Berlioz was now living with the RSPCA officer who had helped save him and Benito had also been found a new home.
On average, the RSPCA received 374 reports of animal cruelty every day in June to August 2024.
It received 88,770 reports of cruelty across the whole year in 2023, which rose to 105,250 in 2024 – up 19%.

Five Canada geese were shot and killed by a moron at an Indianapolis wildlife rehabilitation centre after being let out of their cage.
Officials said a moron drove a truck past the rescue centre and found an outdoor pen with five Canada geese inside.
The moron reportedly released the geese into the open and then “opened fire” on the birds, killing all of them.
Canada geese are federally protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918 and cannot be killed or harmed.

Convicted Pedophile Jailed For Crimes Against Animals.
A convicted pedophile who filmed his dogs killing wild animals has been jailed for a year and banned from owning animals for life.
Brandon Robb, 28, was sentenced at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court after admitting a catalogue of wildlife offences.
Footage retrieved from Robb’s phones showed his two Lurcher dogs being encouraged to attack deer, rabbits, hares, a fox cub, wild birds and domestic cats.
Robb, who was caught after uploading footage to social media, is already serving seven years for a series of sex attacks on children in Fife.
The abuse of two girls and a boy, the youngest just eight years old, happened in the town of Leslie between 2011 and 2015 when Robb was a teenager.
Robb’s animal offences took place between August and November 2022 in woods and farmland in Fife and Kinross, usually at night.
Robb had 21 previous convictions and had served time in prison for animal crimes.

Morons Use A Trick To Lure Bears So They Can Shoot Them Dead.
As a cub in the U.S. state of Michigan, a bear wandered around a trail through a forest.
When he spotted a delicious-smelling barrel along the way, he was filled with curiosity.
He stuck his head through a large hole someone had cut in the top to investigate.
But when it came time to pull his head back out, he simply couldn’t.
The large lid of the plastic barrel got stuck around his neck, clinging to him like a collar.
That was two years ago.
Finally, in May 2025, officials freed him from this torment.
But it turns out the barrel the little cub was investigating was not so innocent after all.
It was actually a bear-baiting barrel, which is a trick that morons use to lure bears in, and then shoot them dead as a trophy.
Even worse, this isn’t illegal in Michigan.
Morons who call themselves “hunters” gleefully exchange information with each other online about the “best” ways to set up a bear-baiting barrel so that they can attract a bear and keep its attention for long enough to kill it.
It is specifically intended to harm bears.
This practice is disgusting and disturbing, but since it’s legal in Michigan, bears are stumbling across these traps all the time.
