BBC Journalists Accuse The Corporation Of Double Standards.
The BBC has been accused by its journalists of failing to tell the story of the Israel-Palestine conflict accurately, investing greater effort in humanising Israeli victims compared with Palestinians, and omitting key historical context in coverage.
In a 2,300-word letter written to Al Jazeera by eight UK-based journalists employed by the corporation, the BBC is also said to be guilty of a “double standard in how civilians are seen”, given that it is “unflinching” in its reporting of alleged Russian war crimes in Ukraine.
The BBC journalists said that across British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) platforms, terms like “massacre” and “atrocity”, have been reserved “only for Hamas, framing the group as the only instigator and perpetrator of violence in the region. This is inaccurate but aligns with the BBC’s overall coverage”.

It’s All Over The Media, But These Stories Are Blatantly Force.
Terrorists from Hamas breached the Gaza border and invaded Israel in a murderous rampage.
They decapitated some 40 babies at a kibbutz.
Its soldiers are raping Jewish women.
They killed 260 young people at a concert, and there’s more atrocities to come.
The media took their cue from U.S. President Joe Biden who lied that he “saw” “confirmed pictures of terrorists beheading children,” and described the Palestinian resistance as committing rape and other “acts of sheer evil.”
These horror stories have dominated the front pages of papers in the United States and Europe and have been the top of the broadcast news for days.
In loud and outraged voices, in huge boldface type, the establishment media has carried the same atrocity stories, even using the exact same words.
The same reports have been picked up and amplified by social media.
It’s all certainly incredibly gruesome and frightening.
Only these stories are blatantly false or unverified.
This is war propaganda designed to confuse, soften or win over public opinion for imperialist invasion.
It is crafted to justify the Western-backed Israeli government’s massive bombardment of Gaza, allegedly to “destroy Hamas,” at its base, but really to kill, maim and starve the two million Palestinian civilians there.
As Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant said, the goal of the Israeli offensive is the “elimination” of Gaza.

UK Corporations And Tory MPs Benefit From Destruction Of Gaza.
British energy giant BP and arms firm BAE Systems are set to profit from Israel amid its ongoing destruction of Gaza.
The Israeli government has announced the award to BP of a lucrative contract to explore for natural gas in the eastern Mediterranean.
Meanwhile, arms firm BAE Systems, which manufactures key parts of the F-35 jets being used to support strikes on Gaza, has seen its share price rise in recent weeks.
A number of British Conservative MPs who rejected the parliamentary motion calling for a ceasefire in Gaza have shares in BP and BAE, which are both strongly linked to the UK government.

It was the blocking of all non-violent means for Palestinians to liberate themselves from an ever-deepening, ever more violent occupation that led to the 7 October breakout from Gaza.
That prison break may have been bloody, it may have included many atrocities, but it was entirely predictable.
Chiefly responsible for it are Israel, and the western political and media class, who ignored and smeared Palestinians, human rights groups and solidarity activists, as they now smear an innocent chant “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free”.
There is a goal here. A very ugly one.
The campaign to delegitimise any solidarity with Palestinians – classifying it as hate – is meant to foment polarisation and escalation.
At its starkest, it requires of us that we side with those who are murdering babies in Gaza.
Israel, aided by western establishments, has intentionally driven supporters of justice for Palestinians, on one side, and much of the Jewish public on the other, into entrenched, oppositional camps.
Each feels victimised.
One side feels frustrated, vilified and angry.
The other feels fearful and unforgiving.
This is not accidental.
It reflects a desire by western establishments to create the very internal divisions, hatred and instability they claim to be trying to avert.
The aim is to ensure that Israel remains an untouchable ally, able to project western power and influence into the oil and gas-rich Middle East.
The problem is not a chant.
The problem is not marches opposing a terror campaign of bombs and the murder of babies.
The problem is our susceptibility to the endless lies and deceptions told by western establishments to promote their narrow interests over our shared humanity.

Witness Says Israeli Security Forces Killed A Large Number Of Their Own Civilians.
Yasmin Porat, the Kibbutz Be’eri survivor told Israeli radio that Israeli security forces “undoubtedly” killed a large number of their own civilians following the Hamas assault on October 7, 2023.
In a full-length interview, Yasmin Porat states that the Palestinian fighters – who she says treated her and the other Israeli civilians “humanely” – intended to “kidnap us to Gaza. Not to murder us.”
She adds that “after we were there for two hours with the abductors, the police arrive. A gun battle takes place that our police started.”

There Are A Lot Of People Crying And Screaming With Pain.
I have worked in hospitals in Afghanistan, Uganda, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Sudan, and Cambodia, but I have never operated on so many injured children as I am now in the Gaza Strip.
In the burns unit of the European Hospital we now have 78 patients, nearly two-fifths of them children under five.
I have never seen anything like it.
I have been in many war contexts where the type of wounds are the same but the number is huge.
We never leave the hospital.
We work round the clock.
We do operations with minimal anaesthesia.
If we run out, we can’t operate but there is no clear line.
There are a lot of people crying, screaming with pain, but we don’t have enough analgesics.
We keep them for the kids or very severe cases.
Normally we would change dressings on patients with 40% burns with them under sedation and minimise the time by using more attendants.
Now it has to be done with a lot of pain.
We try to keep our heads cool and steady, but for local staff this is their families, friends, their people.
They never want to amputate.
They say: ‘I can’t do it any more’ and so I say: ‘OK I will do it, don’t worry,’ and you can feel the relief.

A 12-Year-Old Israeli Child Was Killed By Israeli Forces.
An Israeli child completely incinerated at Kibbutz Be’eri was killed by two tank shells shot by Israeli forces at the end of an hours-long gun battle, a survivor of the same carnage told the Israeli state broadcaster Kan.
Yasmin Porat, taken captive with at least a dozen other Israeli civilians on 7 October, told Kan radio that a fellow captive, 12-year-old Liel Hatsroni, survived to the end of the battle and only died when Israeli forces fired two tank shells at the house where they were held hostage by Hamas fighters.

Boris Johnson Has Form When It Comes To Anti-Jewish Hatred.
Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has invoked some of the oldest and most pernicious antisemitic stereotypes in a book he wrote when he was a Conservative shadow minister.
He describes “Jewish oligarchs” who run the media, and fiddle the figures to fix elections in their favour.
He portrays a Jewish character, Sammy Katz, with a “proud nose and curly hair”, and paints him as a malevolent, stingy, snake-like Jewish businessman who exploits immigrant workers for profit.
Johnson has form when it comes to anti-Jewish hatred.
As editor of the Spectator he chose to publish articles in which the notorious racist Taki Theodoracopulos boasted of being “an antisemite”, argued black people “have lower IQs than whites” and praised Enoch Powell as a “great man”.
Johnson defended Theodoracopulos, calling him a “distinguished columnist”.
Even now Johnson continues to cosy up to Donald Trump, despite his rhetoric about Jewish disloyalty and support for neo-Nazis.
Johnson’s contempt for minorities, women, LGBT+ and working-class people is well known, so it’s not surprising this extends to Jews.

Just remember when the ‘respectable’ media warn us about fake news that the biggest fake news we’re being exposed to – every day, for weeks on end – is peddled by the ‘respectable’ media: that Israel is ‘eradicating’ Hamas, rather than the truth that it is carrying out ethnic cleansing and a genocide of the Palestinian people.
This week the UN warned that Palestinians will be killed in even bigger numbers than from the bombing by disease brought about by Israel’s denial of food and water, and its destruction of health and public sanitation infrastructure.
This isn’t some tragic side effect of Israel’s policies.

“Shoot At Everything”, Israeli Squadron Leader Told His Men.
Israel revised down the number of Israelis it says were killed on October 7, 2023 to “around 1,200.”
Although it has offered no direct evidence, Israel has claimed that Hamas fighters burned Israeli civilians en masse, in atrocities not seen since the Holocaust.
Israel has also never explained how Palestinian fighters could have achieved this or caused the enormous damage to Israeli houses with only the light weapons they were generally seen carrying.
It simply makes no sense that 200 bodies burned beyond recognition that Israel thought were Israeli civilians could turn out to be Hamas fighters unless Israel killed people indiscriminately.
Obviously Hamas fighters did not set themselves on fire and burn themselves beyond recognition.
And Israel must know the circumstances in which these people died.
The Israeli air force has admitted that it sent up more than two dozen attack helicopters which fired huge amounts of heavy cannon shells and Hellfire missiles on October 7, even though in many cases the pilots could not tell Palestinians apart from Israeli civilians.

Hundreds If Not Thousands Of British Citizens Are In Israel’s Military.
After Hamas launched its surprise attack on Israel on October 7, it quickly emerged that a British man was among the 1,200 fatalities.
Nathaniel Young, a 20-year-old from London, was serving as a corporal in the Israel Defence Force (IDF).
His death shone a spotlight, briefly, on the fact that British citizens are willing and able to fight for Israel’s military.
Boris Johnson underlined this fact when he met a group of them in Jerusalem.
Praising their service, Johnson shook hands with Sam Sank, originally from Harrow, who joined the IDF in 2009 as an 18-year-old.
Sank told The Times newspaper that hundreds if not thousands of fellow Brits are currently serving in the IDF.

The number of Palestinians killed by the Israeli army and Israeli settlers in the Occupied West Bank since October 7 has exceeded the number of Palestinians killed in the last year.
The Israeli army and settlers have killed 242 Palestinians in the West Bank, including Occupied East Jerusalem, since October 7.
A previous statement by the UN Humanitarian Affairs Office (OCHA) said 171 Palestinians were killed in the West Bank in 2022 by Israeli forces and settlers.
The Israeli army has also arrested, in the same period after October 7, more than 3,000 Palestinians from the West Bank, in addition to the already 5,200 Palestinians held in Israeli jails before October 7.

Investigation Shows That Israeli Helicopter Killed Israeli Festival Participants.
An Israeli military helicopter shot civilians at the Supernova rave where Israel says 364 people were killed on October 7, 2023.
Israeli investigators have concluded that Hamas fighters who crossed the boundary from Gaza that day had no prior knowledge of the music festival held near Kibbutz Re’im, an Israeli settlement east of Gaza.
According to a police source, the investigation also shows that an IDF combat helicopter that arrived to the scene and fired at terrorists there apparently also hit some festival participants.
It does not indicate how many of the festival goers were killed or injured by the helicopter.
The police investigation appears to be the first direct Israeli official acknowledgment that Israeli forces killed some of their own civilians on and after October 7, 2023.
Evidence has been mounting that this is exactly what happened.

The UK Ministry Of Defence Refuses To Provide Details Of Military Aid To Israel.
Flight logs tracking aircraft from RAF Akrotiri, the UK’s vast air base in Cyprus, show the RAF flew military transport aircraft to Tel Aviv, Israel’s capital, every day from 13 to 26 October –– 33 RAF flights from Cyprus to Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport since Israel began bombing Gaza.
Flight records going back to August 6 show no UK military flights from RAF Akrotiri to Israel before the bombing of Gaza began.
The first flight went on October 11 from Brize Norton, the RAF’s major base in Oxfordshire.
This was four days after the start of Israel’s brutal bombing campaign in Gaza, which has included flagrant war crimes, including targeting hospitals and ambulances, and the killing of over 10,000 Palestinians.
The exact nature of UK military aid to Israel remains unclear.
The UK Ministry of Defence refuses to provide details of the cargo or personnel on flights.
The discovery of a large number of transport flights could make defence secretary Grant Shapps, who is in charge of the UK military, vulnerable to questioning by the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Illegal Israeli Settlers Have Imposed A Reign Of Terror.
It is the same story in every village in the South Hebron Hills.
Israeli settlers are seizing livestock, wrecking water tanks, smashing solar panels, bulldozing outbuildings and destroying the olive groves upon which Palestinian farmers depend for their livelihood.
They arrive unannounced armed with M16 machine guns which they are more than happy to use.
They beat up villagers with iron bars, with sticks, with fists, with the butts of their guns.
They assault women and the elderly.
They enter Palestinian houses ripping out fixtures and fittings, stealing money, destroying papers, overturning furniture.
They shoot to kill.
Many wear military uniform.
They have imposed a reign of terror.
They are supported by Israel’s army.
Their message to Palestinians is always the same – get out or be killed.
While the armed settlers act with impunity, Palestinians are defenceless.
For Palestinians this feels like a repeat of the 1948 Nakba when 750,000 people were driven from their homes, never to return.
Like today, they were forced out then amidst massive violence.

British Counter-Terror Police Harass Gaza Doctor’s Family In London.
A UK-based surgeon volunteering in Gaza has slammed the British government for its response to the war as he alleges counter-terror police have “harassed” his family.
Professor Ghassan Abu-Sittah, a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with a practice in West London, slammed both the current government and the opposition for “never speaking the truth to power.”
Mostly based at the Al Shifa hospital, his days have been long and upsetting – punctuated with the sounds of bombing.
But something he did not expect was a phone call from his wife back in London, informing him that counter-terror police had been on their doorstep.
The Metropolitan Police said Dr Abu-Sittah’s home was visited by officers because the force received a report that “a man was planning to travel to a war zone.”

Decomposing Bodies Of Babies Were Left Behind During Evacuations.
A video taken in an abandoned Gaza hospital appears to show the decomposing bodies of babies who were left behind during evacuations.
The paediatric intensive care unit at al Nasr children’s hospital was evacuated around November 10, 2023 as the Israeli military continued its ground invasion into northern Gaza and called for people to leave the area.
During the week-long ceasefire, Mohammed Baalousha, a journalist with the Emirati TV channel Al Mashhad, entered the building where he found the bodies of several infants who had to be left in their beds while others escaped.
The advanced stages of decomposition of the infants are consistent with the time-frame between them being abandoned and the date the video was shot, two independent forensic pathologists told NBC.
Dr Mustafa al Kahlot, director of the hospital, said staff concluded they could not safely evacuate five babies, several of whom were premature and “on oxygen machines” when Israeli tanks encircled the facility.
