Pet Cats In Vietnam Are Stolen, Slaughtered And Eaten. While the eating of dog meat…
Welcome to the Karma cafe.
There are no menus.
You simply get served exactly what you deserve.
The best part of being vegan is the purity and peace of mind one experiences and the strong connection I feel to the animal kingdom.
( Uri Geller )
As much as I love living in alignment with my values of compassion, fairness and equality, veganism isn’t about me.
Veganism isn’t about tofu burritos, celebrities and Mondays without meat.
Veganism is about justice for other animals.
( Gary Smith )
The only animals who buy the idea that humans are not animals are humans themselves.
It allows them to justify their cruel behaviour toward other living beings.
( Rose Winfold )
Isn’t Man An Amazing Animal?
He kills wildlife.
Birds, kangaroos, deer, all kinds of cats, coyotes, beavers, groundhogs, mice, foxes and dingoes –– by the million in order to protect his domestic animals and their feed.
Then he kills domestic animals by the billion and eats them.
This in turn kills man by the millions, because eating all those animals leads to degenerative, and fatal, health conditions like heart disease, kidney disease, and cancer.
So then man tortures and kills millions more animals to look for cures for these diseases.
Elsewhere, millions of other human beings are being killed by hunger and malnutrition because food they could eat is being used to fatten domestic animals.
Meanwhile, some people are dying of sad laughter at the absurdity of man, who kills so easily and so violently, and once a year, sends out cards praying for ‘Peace on Earth’.
( David Coats )
Becoming a vegan gave me another opportunity to live a healthy life.
( Mike Tyson )
The truth is there is no ‘humane’ way to slaughter or kill someone who does not want to die.
Part of my becoming a vegetarian was that I would look at my burger, then look at my dogs, and I wasn’t able to see a difference.
( Kristen Bell )
Middle-age men pretending to be cowboys, we call them coward-boys, defend their right to abuse calves, foals, horses. bulls, sheep and goats, for their demented idea of fun.
The pathetic idiots call it ‘rodeo’.
Every day forty thousand children in the world die for lack of food.
We who overeat in the West, who are feeding grains to animals to make meat, are eating the flesh of these children.
( Thich Nhat Hanh )
They Are Just Babies.
A baby animal that suffers terribly at the cruel hands of man for consumers.
Death before slaughter is probably a gift from heaven for some of them.
The rest that are strong enough to survive this cruel ordeal will die a horrid painful way.
“As they went into the killing box some of them made sounds like crying babies,” said one witness.
Because they are just babies.
Imagine buying and eating another animal’s baby.
It’s despicable, nothing short of being a cannibal.
A sad, lonely and I dare say, painful life he leads.
He looks into many eyes seeking help and compassion but finds ignorance.
( Giovanna Di Carlo )
Don’t kid yourself.
Animals in zoos hate you.
There’s nothing to love about monsters who cage and chain you.
The scariest thing about hearing the slaughter is the silence that comes afterwards.
Because you know there was life.
And now there isn’t.
( Tal Gilboa )
When a child kills an animal, we suspect they may have a mental problem.
When a so-called intelligent adult kills an animal, we call it ‘sport’.
Humans use words and noise to communicate.
Animals use their hearts and their soul.
( Dion Felsrow )
One of the main problems for animals is that our unjust laws consider them to be ‘things’.
When we turn away from the reality of what we do to animals for our gustatory pleasure, we play a game of pretend, like the child who covers her eyes and thinks you can’t see her.
And yet, there she remains.
Closing our eyes doesn’t make violence disappear.
It only closes our minds and hearts and enables the violence to continue.
( Colleen Patrick-Goudreau )
Being a vegan is about every animal’s right not to be used as a slave.
I have always been a strong supporter of country sports.
It is my firm belief that people should have the freedom to hunt.
So I share the frustration that many people feel about the Hunting Act and the way it was brought in by the last government.
A Conservative government will give Parliament the opportunity to repeal the Hunting Act on a free vote, with a government Bill in government time.
( David Cameron )
Your righteousness is like the highest mountains, your justice is like the great depths of the sea.
You, Lord, preserve both people and animals.
( Psalm 36.6 )
Not all creatures on earth are cute and cuddly, but they have as much right to be here as you and me.
( Anthony Douglas Williams )
Putting an animal in a cage, or a fish in a tank, and believing it to be happy.
Simply means you are a complete, heartless idiot.
If there were to be a universal sound depicting peace.
I would surely vote for a purr.
( Barbara L. Diamond )
Magic is essentially the higher understanding of Nature.
One must wonder at an industry that tolerates – indeed, requires – antisocial behaviours such as extreme aggression, remorselessness and violence.
( Melanie Joy )
I may appear to be a quiet and reserved person.
But if you hurt my dog, you will see a level of crazy that scares even the devil.
The animal exploitation industries have huge resources behind them, and have the ear of government.
But it is impossible to believe that, in the end, justice and compassion will not triumph.
( J.M. Coetzee )
You know you are not in charge anymore when your dog decides when you wake up.
Ag-gag laws are a series of laws proposed by the agriculture industry to keep consumers in the dark about what happens every single day on factory farms and in slaughterhouses.
Dairy Cows Never See The Light Of Day.
Last week, it was reported 10% or more dairy cows ( culled aged four or five ) never see the light of day.
Philip Lymbery, chief executive of Compassion In World Farming, said, ‘It is absolutely wrong to keep cows permanently housed and deny them their natural behaviour’.
And while dairy cows are generally kept in clean, warm barns, due to the rigours of the milk industry, beef cattle and their calves wintering inside generally stand up to their bellies in excrement, unable to lie down, freezing, their feet rotting ( and if you don’t believe me, I have photos and videos ).
Regulations that state an animal needs somewhere dry to rest are routinely ignored, with no comeback for farmers who nonetheless love to rake in those subsidies.
Farming needs a new broom, literally.
( Liz Jones, 18.01.2015 )
Cruelty is the worst of human sins.
Once we accept that a living being has feelings and suffers pain, then by knowingly and deliberately inflicting suffering on that creature, we are guilty.
Dogs are a gift most of us don’t deserve.
They make you laugh, brighten your life, snuggle up to you, forgive your faults, and love you unconditionally.
Remember.. Second-hand animals make first-class pets.
I am in favour of animal rights as well as human rights.
That is the way of a whole human being.
( Abraham Lincoln )
Unseen they suffer, unheard they cry.
In agony they linger, in laboratories and in loneliness they die.
Only when we have become non-violent towards all life will we have learned to live well with others.
( César Chávez )
Dogs deserve the love they keep on giving to everyone else.
If possessing a higher degree of intelligence does not entitle one human to use another for his or her own ends, how can it entitle humans to exploit non-humans?
( Peter Singer )
We strip ‘farm’ animals of their birth-right and earth-rights.
And it’s very disturbing that most people believe nothing is wrong with this.
Nobody can possibly be so hungry that they need to take a life in order to feel satisfied.
They don’t after all, take a human life, so why take the life of an animal?
( Morrissey )
Search Your Conscience.
It is time we must be respectful and compassionate with our furry friends.
They too deserve to live.
I will never wear fur nor will support or admire people whose fetish is to wear fur.
To each his own, they say.
But not this time.
This issue is not about personal rights to your money but to put it bluntly, this fur industry is all about killing animals to profit from their fur.
If you think otherwise, like associating fur with fashion and class, then think again.
Get out of your box and search your conscience.
( Princess Maleiha Bajunaid Candao )
If you’re uncomfortable because of my dog, I am happy to lock you in the other room when you come over.
Their Future Is Entirely In Our Hands.
For our wildlife, we are both their greatest enemy and their only hope.
These wonderful creatures will not argue their case.
They will not put up a fight.
They will not beg for reprieve.
They will not say goodbye.
They will not cry out.
They will just vanish.
And after they are gone, there will be silence.
And there will be stillness.
And there will be empty places.
And nothing you can say will change this.
Nothing you can do will bring them back.
Their future is entirely in our hands.
( Bradley Trevor Grieve )
David Cameron leads a new generation of Tories hell-bent on bringing back bloodsports.
To make it once again legal to tear apart foxes and stags with packs of dogs, and to bring back the despicable ‘sport’ of hare-coursing.
What were we thinking, giving these people that power?
There is nobody in our Government who represents the interests of wild animals.
( Brian May )
If you believe that animals deserve no more rights than food grown in the ground, you are an asshole or a psychopath.
Gentleness and compassion is a strength that will conquer all forms of cruelty and evil.
( Len Firswood )
Imagine the distress of the poor animals listening to the screams and cries of their friends and family being slaughtered behind closed doors.
( Eileen Hutchison, 1926-2008 )
All 200 million starlings in the USA are descended from 100 released in New York in 1890 by an eccentric who wanted to introduce every bird Shakespeare mentioned.
I will tell you a way to make the world a better place.
Ban people betting on animals.
Do that and you will end the obscene cruelty.
( Neil Mitchell )
