The Barbaric ‘Religious’ Slaughter Of Animals.
Animal welfare campaigners have long called for a ban on the barbaric Islamic way of preparing ‘meat’ – which involves killing animals by cutting their throats with a knife, without stunning them first.
More than 40 million cattle, calves and sheep and more than 850 million poultry are slaughtered every year in Britain.

The vast majority are stunned before slaughter but UK law allows the Jewish and Muslim communities to kill animals by religious methods without any form of stunning.
Animal rights groups campaign organisation Viva, said in a statement: “Other practises which may be undertaken for religious reasons, such as polygamy or the stoning of adulterers, are not permitted in the UK.
Religious freedom does not over-ride other moral considerations and the suffering caused by this form of slaughter is so severe that it cannot be allowed to prevent action to be taken”.

The farmers, the meat industry, the dairy industry, the fur industry, would all like to thank the people who don’t give a shit about animals.
Thanks to your greed, selfishness and support, we make huge amounts of money.

Too many people claim, or pretend, to know the mind of the Lord.
Too many people use words from the Bible, the authors of which were humans, to not only excuse and justify their own behaviour, but to excuse and justify the killing of any animal they choose.

Just in case you are too stupid to realise.
“Meat” is not oxygen.
And you can live without it.

Then both human animals and non-human animals will be happier and healthier.

Millions Of Animals Are Still Suffering And Dying In Laboratories.
Around 12 million animals are still suffering and dying in laboratories every year despite an EU pledge to phase out tests.
Animals are cruelly shut away in cages then carved open, injected or forced fed drugs in the name of science.
Many are poisoned to death while others are left with agonising tumours, multiple organ failure or broken limbs.

New figures show only 100,000 fewer animals are being tested since 2005 when 12.1 million were locked up in labs.
Apes, cats, dogs, guinea pigs, mice, pigs, rabbits and rats all suffer agony and pain before death.

In 2005 the UK was cited as one of the worst offenders for testing.
And we are supposed to be a civilised, humane society.

They trusted us.
And then we abuse them and butcher their bodies.

No animal on Earth is more cruel than the human animal.

Thousands Of Animals Mutilated At Cambridge University.
Researchers at Cambridge University carried out more than 117,000 experiments on animals last year.
Animals used included horses, mice and monkeys.
2,000 out of the 117,212 experiments were classed as the highest level of severity.
The university refused to release precise details of tests carried out in 2009.
But it is known that most animals end up dead.

Andrew Tyler of Animal Aid said: “These animals are not reliable surrogates for human beings and we don’t have the moral authority to inflict such torments”.
In 2001, campaigners released shocking details of experiments being performed on 400 monkeys over nine months.
They alleged that scientists sawed open monkeys’ skulls and inserted toxins to simulate Parkinson’s disease.
Cambridge University receives huge amounts of tax-payers money for its ‘work’.

Farm Animals ..
Born to be killed.

Killed to be eaten.
But never born to be loved.

Birds Killed For Being Noisy.
Waveney Council in Suffolk, UK, has killed three wild cockerels because they were noisy.
The birds were blasted with an air rifle as they roosted in trees.

The killings by this despicable council have upset many local people who had given them names and enjoyed feeding them with grain, bread and leftover food.
What other creatures, who have as much right as we have to live on Earth, are this bloody council going to kill for being noisy?
Barking dogs, quacking ducks, singing birds?
What about screaming or crying children and babies?
What about the loud-mouthed yobs that come out of pubs and clubs in the early hours of the morning?
This nasty, wicked, cowardly council should be ashamed of themselves.

Animals have ‘rights’.
And the most important right is the right to be here, to live safe and free, just like us.
They deserve a better life than just one of being bred and fed to die.

Conveyor Belt To Death.
As many as 40 million male chicks are killed in the UK every year after they hatch – because they cannot lay eggs.
It’s the hidden horror the egg industry doesn’t want you to see.
It’s a conveyor belt to death.
Some egg factories gas the baby chickens and some throw them alive into electric mincers.

The British Egg Information Service said: “In the past the male chicks were used for poultry meat but the broiler meat industry has now developed specific strains of chicken which grow quickly”.
Are these the ones that are force-fed and stuffed with drugs and chemicals?
Vegetarian campaign group Viva wants people to stop buying eggs and claims almost all male chicks born suffer the same fate – whether free range or not.
The egg industry said putting live chicks in a mincer was uncommon, but the practise is approved by the Government and Humane Slaughter Association.
Well, that’s OK then.

Is it because someone lied to you and told you it’s normal to kill and butcher animals, and you don’t have a mind to think for yourself?

Stop eating and consuming animal products.
There is great peace and satisfaction in knowing you are causing the least harm possible, and that no creature has to suffer and die for you to live.

Animals Made To Suffer For The Fashion Industry.
In the wild, crocodiles and alligators live up to 70 years but these animals are captured and killed aged three to five.
Beyond that, the skins are unusable, as they are covered in scars.
Crocodiles and alligators are poleaxed – bludgeoned over the head with a piece of pipe or a baseball bat.
An alternative method is the nape stab.
A chisel is hammered into the back of the neck but the blow doesn’t kill the animal.
It’s paralysed.

As the animal is so cold-blooded and has a slow metabolism, it can take two hours to die.
This means nearly all crocodiles and alligators are skinned alive.

All snakes are taken from the wild, caught in sacks, and taken to filthy backstreet operations to be skinned.
The snake is starved to make the skin looser but there is another, even more terrible stage in the process.

A tube is put down the snake’s throat and it is inflated with water to stretch the skin while it is still alive.
Then it is nailed by its head to a tree and the skin is sliced off.

Owing to a reptile’s slow metabolic rate, it takes days to die.
Even if the head is chopped off, it can take a snake one to two hours to lose consciousness.

The luxury fashion industry will continue to sell their posh bags no matter its cost, not in pounds, euros or dollars, but in the lives of alligators, crocodiles and snakes.

More than 80 million rabbits are killed every year for their fur.
Rabbits are specifically bred for the fur industry and they are kept in confined, painfully small boxes.
At the end of their miserable lives they have their necks broken or their skulls smashed.

Makes you feel proud to be a human being, doesn’t it?

Animal Skins Are Not Posh, Posh.
Victoria Beckham, The Spice Girl-turned-designer has been targeted by animal rights’ activists.
They are furious that Victoria’s bags – made from crocodile, lizard and calf leather – are being billed as next season’s ultimate accessory.
Skins are never posh, Posh.
A spokeswoman for Victoria said, “Everyone is entitled to personal opinion and choice, but as with all Victoria Beckham products, the handbags are made to the highest quality and design”.
Well, that’s ok then.

Every life is precious to the one living it.

Reptiles In Rapid Decline.
Adders are vanishing from the countryside and in serious danger of being wiped out.
A study found Britain’s most common snake has seen rapid decline over the past few years and become our rarest reptile by far.
Slow worms, lizards, toads, frogs and the great crested newt are also feared to be dying out.

Common frogs appeared to be low in numbers in the South while lizards and slow worms were rarely spotted in the North and Central regions, including Wales.
Experts blame rural developments and disruption to habitats.
The Government passed legislation in 2007 prioritising the protection of all reptiles.

Animal Rights are not a gift we give to animals.
They are a birth right we have stolen from them.

The Feelings Of Animals.
Vivisectors, hunters, butchers and farmers excuse the cruelty of what they do by claiming animals don’t have feelings.
Young elephants who have seen their families killed by poachers wake screaming in the night.
An ape will show exactly the same signs of love and affection when dealing with her baby as a human mother.
Stand in a farmyard when a calf has been taken away from a cow, and listen to the heart-breaking cries of anguish.

Young lions will share their kills with old and weak lions.
Healthy foxes will bring food to injured ones.
Animal abusers claim that because they do not satisfy our criteria for intelligence they do not deserve sympathy or understanding.

What makes you think your life is more important than the life of any animal?
Is it because they can’t speak your language?
Is it because you think you are far superior to them?
Well?
What’s the reason?

Why is your life so important and their life isn’t?
( Rose Winfold )

You will never understand the pain and the misery and the suffering you caused until exactly the same is done to you.
That’s why I’m here.

( Karma )

Why are we hiding the suffering of animals from our children?
Why are we not teaching our children to be kind and compassionate and help towards the ending of suffering?
( Fred O. Wilson )

Elephants Display Intelligent Behaviour.
An experiment into elephant behaviour has revealed a surprisingly high degree of teamwork between the largest land animals.
Until now, only a few primates like chimpanzees have displayed co-operation skills when faced with a new task, but a test in Thailand has proved that elephants can pull together when necessary too.
The test required pairs of elephants to pull on a rope simultaneously in order to release treats.

In a related test, researchers also proved that elephants can recognize themselves in mirrors – a trait only shared by the most sophisticated animals.

We all made a grave mistake.
We trusted you.

And not only did you betray us, you make us suffer before brutally killing us.
What cruel, nasty, pieces of shit you are.
Humankind really are the worst kind.

The Public Are Being Served Halal Meat Without Being Informed.
What is disturbing is that people are being served Halal meat without being informed.
Whitbread, which owns the Beefeater, Brewers Fayre, Table Restaurants, Costa Coffee shops and Premier Inn hotels, admitted that 80% of the chicken it served comes from Halal poultry suppliers, including some in Muslim-dominated Turkey.

Mitchells & Butlers, which owns the Harvester, Browns and Toby Carvery restaurants, All Bar One and O’Neill’s, refused to say how much Halal meat they serve.
Ascot racecourse said: “All our chicken is Halal”.

Twickenham stadium sells only Halal chicken but does not advertise the fact.
A Football Association spokesman confirmed: “All the beef, chicken and lamb sold at Wembley Stadium is Halal”.
Other institutions secretly serving up meat that is Halal include Mid-Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust and NHS Trust, Guy’s and St Thomas’.
A spokesman for the London hospitals admitted: “The only way people using the canteen would know they were eating Halal chicken would be if they asked a member of staff directly”.
Cheltenham College Boarding School in Gloucestershire admitted that the chicken served in the canteen is mostly Halal.
Marlborough College, in Wiltshire, admitted that while Halal chicken is usually served only to Muslims, it had ‘occasionally’ served it to all pupils.
Britain’s biggest supermarket and fast-food chains are selling Halal lamb and chicken without telling unsuspecting customers.
Waitrose, Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Somerfield, Co-Op, Domino’s Pizza, Pizza Hut, KFC, Nando’s and Subway have all admitted serving Halal meat without telling customers.
Asda has refused to confirm or deny whether it sells Halal meat.
McDonalds, Burger King and Wimpy do not sell Halal food in the UK.
An RSPCA spokesman said: “The public have a right to know how their meat is produced.
Many people are extremely concerned about animal welfare”.
The RSPCA says all meat produced from animals that have not been stunned before slaughter should be clearly labelled so that it can be easily identified by consumers.

When people munch on burgers and hotdogs and think nothing of the animals that suffered and died for their eating habits, and then expect you to believe they care about animals.
The word “hypocrite” comes to mind.
( Doris Fenlow )

Waitrose Admitted All Their Lamb Is Halal.
Most lamb imported from New Zealand by British supermarkets has been slaughtered according to Muslim law, but this is not mentioned on packaging.
Some lamb from British abattoirs is also Halal.
Tesco and Marks & Spencer admitted that all their New Zealand lamb is Halal.
Waitrose admitted that all their lamb is Halal.
Under Islamic law, an animal must be slaughtered by having its throat cut while it is conscious.

It’s okay to feel sad or angry, but it’s not okay to ignore or turn away from animal abuse and cruelty.
( Rose Winfold )

Morally It’s A Disgrace.
The Office for National Statistics reported that just 4% of the British population was Muslim.
Surely, if you want Halal meat, you go to a specialist butcher and everybody else can be confident their meat is produced to more humane standards?
Well, actually, no.
That choice has been scandalously taken away from us.
Not only are we deliberately not informed if our meat is produced according to religious ritual, many retailers do not even know.

Since it is not illegal to palm off Halal meat on non-Muslims, that is being done on a massive scale, there is nothing the government or the EU will do about it.
This is not only commercially wrong, morally it is a disgrace.

Think about your choices.
We can all choose to walk a path of least harm.

A Fearful And Spineless Society.
We are a Christian-nation with Christian values and have a history of showing tolerance to other people’s religious beliefs.
But pandering to the barbaric and inhumane slaughtering of animals to provide Halal meat in schools, hospitals, restaurants, sports venues and supermarkets is taking tolerance too far.
This meat is entering the food chain without labelling – thus denying the public the right to decide whether we want to consume meat of this kind, or have it fed to our children at school.
There are laws in place requiring manufacturers to provide details concerning additives, fats, salt, nuts or sugar etc., so why can’t we be given similar information about whether the meat concerned is Halal?
How can we have become such a fearful and spineless society that we turn a blind eye to this kind of slaughter while simultaneously summoning the weight of the law on those who put cats in wheelie bins, or ill-treat pets or horses?
Cutting the throat of a farm animal, or chicken, without first stunning or sedating them, goes against the desire of all decent British people.
