I Prefer Britain To Lead By Example.
I prefer to look at history and see us as a nation that doesn’t walk away from its European allies when there are continent-wide problems to be sorted.
I prefer Britain to lead by example rather than withdraw into some small-minded, fearful, insular, backward-looking shell.

British Collusion With Terrorist Groups.
British governments, both Labour and Conservative, have, in pursuing the so-called national interest abroad, colluded for decades with radical Islamic forces, including terrorist organisations.
They have connived with them, worked alongside them and sometimes trained and financed them, in order to promote specific foreign policy objectives.

With some of these radical Islamic forces, Britain has been in a permanent, strategic alliance to secure fundamental, long-term foreign policy goals.
With others, it has been a temporary marriage of convenience to achieve specific short-term outcomes.

The U.S. has been shown by some analysts to have nurtured Osama Bin Laden and al Qaida, but Britain’s part in fostering Islamist terrorism is invariably left out of these accounts, and the history has never been told.
Yet this collusion has had more impact on the rise of the terrorist threat than either Britain’s liberal culture or the inspiration for jihadism provided by the occupation of Iraq.

I woke up in America last week to hear a voice on the TV which made me think I was back home.
“He is a loud, nasty, thin-skinned fraud who has never risked anything for anyone and who serves no one but himself.”
But then I spotted the caption and realised Senator Elizabeth Warren was talking about Donald Trump, not Boris Johnson.
Easy mistake to make.

Housing Is A Conservative Disaster Zone.
Owning your own place, a house or flat you can call home, is the dying dream which nails the lie of the Tories as a party of aspiration.
Bitter disappointment awaits the young and not so young striving to scrape together a deposit when the average required is now £57,000.

The Conservative Government, dominated by the privileged class, deems as ‘starter’ properties costing as much as £450,000, sixteen times the average £27,600 annual salary.
These prices are a non-starter for the 200,000 fewer families buying a home now than at the close of the Labour years.

The fall since 2010 in owner occupation from 67.4% to 63.3% is the statistic which exposes that Tory aspiration lie.
Housing is a Conservative disaster zone, a market failure the Tories inflame with deranged policies pushing up prices and rents, destroying with a poisonous idealogical zeal the housing association and council sanctuaries that provide a secure roof for an affordable payment.

Cameron And Boris Are Prepared To Wreck Europe.
So the “Battle for Britain” and whether we remain in Europe will be fought by two bumbling Eton schoolboys.
This isn’t about Britain’s interests, it’s about Tory interests, personal ambition and massive egos.
This EU referendum is all about who leaves or remains in Number 10.
And you can tell Boris really wants it, he’s had a haircut!
Cameron and Johnson were part of the hell-raising Bullingdon Club, whose brattish members would smash up restaurants and let their rich dads pick up the bill.
Thirty years on, and Cameron and Boris are prepared to wreck Europe, our economy and jobs to woo their Eurosceptic backbench MPs.

Tories Standing Up For Workers In China, Not Britain.
First warships, then trains and now, wind turbines just 10 miles from the threatened Port Talbot steel works are going to be built with foreign metal.
You have to wonder if Tory Ministers are striving to shut down British industry.
A Government flying the flag would favour British steel for British jobs instead of letting a few quid be saved by buying Chinese steel when we, the taxpayers, pick up a much higher bill for workers dumped on the dole.
Tory Chancellor George Osborne is once again standing up for workers.
Unfortunately they’re in China, not Britain.

France is asking Google to cough up £1.3billion in back taxes.
That’s ten times more than Osborne got out of them, and he thought it was a “major success”.
If Boy George had the guts to be as tough as the French, that £1.3billion would easily clear the current NHS deficit!

London’s Historic Dock Sold to the Chinese.
The Royal Docks Enterprise Zone is a £692million Chinese-funded project that includes redevelopment of the whole area.
At part of it, the Royal Albert Docks will be the Asian Business Port that will provide a home to eastern companies to set up shop, and a host of incentives will be offered.
In 2013, Chinese developer Advanced Business Park (ABP) acquired sole private ownership of the 35-acre estate through a Development Agreement with the Greater London Authority.

It was joined by China Minsheng Investment Corp, China’s largest private investment firm.
“After the project is completed, it will be the international platform and foundation for Chinese companies and capital to enter the European market,” Minsheng president Li Huaizhen said after signing the deal with the UK finance ministry.
This privatisation of public land is a hot-button issue at the moment, as increasing amounts of public space is sold off to the highest corporate bidder, making London’s denizens, according to some, feel like trespassers in their own city.

This new species of urban space, christened “pops” or “privately-owned public spaces”, has blossomed in recent years.
Examples include the Olympic Park in Stratford and the space surrounding City Hall, the home of the London mayor, which is owned by More London – an offshore investment company that rents the land to the Mayor of London.

These spaces are still public places, in the sense they are open to the public, but are now governed by the rules of the private corporations that own them, rather than laws governing communal public urban spaces.
This has led to rules that restrict public gatherings, speeches and photography.

Tory Government benefit cuts have left more people living below the poverty line than at the height of the 2008 financial crash.
A study by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation found 11.6 million are struggling, an increase of a third, and the majority are in working households.
Families with children have been worst hit.

Tory Contempt For The NHS.
I didn’t ask for this referendum on Europe and chances are neither did you.
It raised its head in the Tory manifesto which was voted for by 24% of eligible British adults.
So, bearing in mind that 95% of them would still have voted Tory if a blue rosette had been stuck on a lobotomised sheep, hardly anyone asked for it.

We are only embarrassing ourselves, as European leaders wrestle with a Biblical refugee crisis and Putin’s Stalin tribute act, because a shiny-faced PR man called Cameron tried to lure the Johnny Foreigner-hating wing of his party away from UKIP.
And the PR man’s tongue will no doubt catch just enough crumbs off Angela Merkel’s table to keep the status quo, before heading into a lucrative retirement claiming to have given the British people its say on the most vital issue of our times.

But that’s a lie.
Europe may be important to politicians and residents of Planet Farage, but to the majority of us, a far more pressing issue is the wilful destruction of the NHS.
There is only one referendum we need now.
One that asks whether or not we still want a National Health Service.
And if so, whether we’re prepared to pay the extra taxes needed to keep it alive.

Because if we don’t, our greatest modern achievement will soon have its life-support machine switched off.
This week alone we heard that 40% of hospitals offer poor care for the dying, 68% of GPs say their workload is unmanageable and 8,500 healthy patients are trapped on wards because social care budgets have been decimated.

Next week sees another junior doctors strike, caused by a health secretary, who rather than negotiate with dedicated professionals chooses to smear and demoralise them in the hope they will lose public support and have unfair contracts forced on them that will see many resign.
Tory contempt for the NHS is now that blatant.

Osborne’s Pandering To The Tax Avoiding Wealthy.
George Osborne praising a sweetheart tax deal with Google is a Chancer of the Exchequer in the pocket of international fat-cats.
The £130million for 10 years doing evil is a pathetic 2.77% rate when workers pay 20% and Trust Fund babe ‘Sir’ George grabbed £600million by forcing small business to file tax returns quarterly rather than annually.

Osborne’s pandering to the tax avoiding wealthy is best illustrated by Christian Aid research revealing British financial holes exploited by the filthy rich, squalid havens such as Bermuda, the Cayman and Virgin Islands, fail to publish even meagre company ownership registers promised by the Conservatives.

Leave Google aside for a moment and it’s a fair supposition that greedy multi-millionaires and billionaires didn’t fund the Conservative election victory to pay more tax.
And the Buller Boy who wants to be PM isn’t going to bite the thieving hands that feed his party.

Hypocritical Tories.
What I find hypocritical of Tories is their concern for UK parliamentary sovereignty while selling off most of our important public sector industries to the private sector in other countries, or state companies run by European governments.
Our new nuclear programme is being run by EDF, a French state-owned company.
And three quarters of our train franchises are owned by foreign state-owned or backed railways.
Financial interest always trumps national interest for Tories.
