Why should we be closer to the Soviets?
Because the Americans have challenged us.
America is involved in a conspiracy against the Arab world, primarily because of its policy toward Israel.
In our view, whoever is against the Americans stands with us.
The enemy of your enemy is your friend.
( Muammar Gaddafi, 09.04.1979 )

“Putin will invade Europe” is the new “Iraq has weapons of mass destruction”.

Zionists Sought Sovereignty Over A Land Where Other People Lived.
Had Jews merely wanted to live in Palestine, this would not have been a problem.
In fact, Jews, Muslims and Christians had co-existed for centuries throughout the Middle East.
But Zionists sought sovereignty over a land where other people lived.
Their ambitions required not only the dispossession and removal of Palestinians in 1948 but also their forced exile, juridical erasure and denial that they ever existed.
So, during Israel’s establishment, some 750,000 Palestinians were driven from their homes to make way for a Jewish majority state.
This is why Palestinians have been resisting for more than seven decades.
They are fighting to remain on their lands with dignity.
They have valiantly resisted their colonial erasure.
This resistance is not about returning to the 1947 borders or some notion of the past, but about laying claim to a better future in which Palestinians and their children can live in freedom and equality, rather than being subjugated as second-class citizens or worse.
( Marc Lamont Hill )

Man’s freedom is lacking if somebody else controls what he needs, for need may result in man’s enslavement of man.
( Muammar Gaddafi, 1975 )

Zionism Erased Indigenous Jewish Identity.
Zionism began in 19th century Europe as a nationalist movement aiming to create a Jewish state.
Its leaders were mostly Ashkenazi Jews from Europe who had no direct or recent connection to Palestine.
Early Zionist writings were explicit –– the goal was to acquire land and create a Jewish majority, which meant removing or overpowering the existing non-Jewish population.
This project was backed by Western colonial powers, especially Britain.
Zionism overshadowed, politicised, and disrupted the lives of local Palestinian Jews.
Many opposed Zionism because they feared it would bring violence, and they were right.
In places like Hebron in 1929, tensions driven by Zionist expansion led to tragedies that hurt all communities.
Zionism erased indigenous Jewish identity and replaced it with a political project that spoke for all Jews, even though many didn’t agree with it.
Zionism didn’t grow out of that native community, it came to over-power and destroy it.
( Fred O. Wilson )

When the rights of Palestinians are defined only in terms of how they affect Israel, the implicit corollary is that Israeli rights are always of superior importance.
( Marc Lamont Hill )

Israel is a colonialist-imperialist phenomenon.
There is no such thing as an Israeli people.
Before 1948, world geography knew of no state such as Israel.
Israel is the result of an invasion, of aggression.
( Muammar Gaddafi, 09.04.1979 )

When someone asks if one supports “Israel’s right to exist,” they are tacitly asking if one agrees that Israel’s elevation of Jewish rights above those of Palestinians in the land they all inhabit is acceptable.
The question, in fact, is whether it was legitimate, after many centuries of Palestinians of numerous faiths, including Jews, living in the land between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River, for Jews from Europe and later Jews from around the world, to emigrate there with the express purpose of creating a state in which Jewish people would be privileged above others, especially the indigenous inhabitants.
( Marc Lamont Hill )

We believe America is practicing all kinds of terrorism against Libya.
Even the accusation that we are involved in terrorism is in itself an act of terrorism.
( Muammar Gaddafi, 08.06.1981 )

If you’re thinking of visiting somewhere different, try Israel.
A territory built on land stolen from Palestine.
Occupied mostly by Americans and Europeans who claim to follow the religion of Judaism.
A safe haven for perverts, pedophiles and psychopaths.
Where children in schools are brainwashed into believing they are “God’s chosen people”.
A military regime obsessed with power and control, and who bribe and blackmail the greedy, corrupt politicians in foreign governments.
( Wilfred Soon )

When the topic turns to Palestine, the same people who consistently advocate for freedom and justice fail to live up to their professed ideals.

Many Americans Don’t Know About The Outside World.
Americans are good people.
They have no aggressions against us and they like us as we like them.
They must know I don’t hate them. I love them.
I hear it is a complex society inside.
Many Americans don’t know about the outside world.
The majority have no concern and no information about other people.
They could not even find Africa on a map.
I think Americans are good, but America will be taken over and destroyed from the inside by the Zionist lobby.
The Americans do not see this.
They are getting decadent.
Zionists will use this to destroy them.
( Muammar Gaddafi, 03.08.1986 )

Palestinians are not merely another nation, but a nation dispossessed by Israel’s creation.

It’s very disturbing when so many people disbelieve, hate or condemn the people who are telling them the truth and choose to believe those who lie to them.
( Rose Winfold )

If we claim to care about producing freedom and justice around the world, which is often the expressed basis for American foreign policy, then we must remain morally consistent.
Palestine cannot be an exception.

The United States Has To Man Up And Stop Being A Dog On A Leash Of Tel Aviv.
The U.S. is demanding that Iran needs to comply because they’re the only one who’s a nuclear threat in the region.
No, they’re not.
Why should Iran comply with nuclear inspections with no proof that they even have weapons.
When the other side of the table, the real party in this, Israel, has nuclear weapons, has 200 to 300 nuclear warheads, and who refuses to allow anybody to inspect on anything they’re doing, and have done so since the 1960s, since the assassination of John F. Kennedy.
Kennedy didn’t like the fact that Israel was developing secret nuclear power and nuclear weapons.
He didn’t like that.
He was pushing back against it, and we all know what happened.
Are those two things linked?
I believe they are.
I believe there’s plenty of evidence in the JFK files which eludes to that.
You see, this is the core of the problem in the Middle East, that the U.S. and its allies are accusing Iran of threatening the region with the potential of a nuclear weapons program but no evidence.
While the State of Israel is blackmailing not just the region but the world with an undeclared, secret nuclear weapons program.
You can’t impose this on Iran and not on Israel.
This is the source of all the problems in the Middle East and geopolitically globally.
It’s a double standard, therefore it cannot work, therefore you end up with everybody on war footing.
Otherwise, if Israel’s allowed to have them, then what’s fair is Iran is allowed to have them as well, and they will cancel each other out, in the same way that India and Pakistan do, that’s fair.
And the United States has to basically man up, stop playing games and stop being a dog on a leash of Tel Aviv.
( Patrick Henningsen )

No other country joined the United States in recognising Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan, but U.S. recognition is still significant.
Yet this is far from the first time that the United States has directly undermined international law for Israel’s benefit.
Since 1972, the U.S. has used its veto power at the UN Security Council to shield Israel from forty-four resolutions criticising its behaviour or calling on it to comply with international law.
( Marc Lamont Hill )

It’s very disturbing that the government and the media continue to spew lies and propaganda, but it’s also just as disturbing when so many people believe the lies and the propaganda.
( Dion Felsrow )

What Zionists did wasn’t about returning to a homeland, it was about erasing the people already there, including Muslims, Christians, and even Palestinian Jews, and replacing them with a political project that had nothing to do with the organic history of the land.
Zionism dismantled the multi-faith, indigenous fabric that existed in Palestine.
( Fred O. Wilson )

The Palestinians had become fed up with a quarter century of talks that always prioritised Israeli concerns over their own.
As these talks dragged on with no end in sight, Israeli settlement construction increased exponentially, and the occupation became ever more repressive.
( Marc Lamont Hill )

A nation obsessed with military power and war will never experience peace.
A nation run by media and corrupt politicians will never know the truth.
( Doris Fenlow )

Oppression and injustice can’t live and survive for ever.
The time will come when the good people come together and rid the world of evil, cruelty, greed, and corruption.
( Wilfred Soon )

The Bush administration was struggling to maintain any notion of legitimacy about the Iraq War.
With the excuse of weapons of mass destruction no longer viable, the war was now being justified as an effort to spread democracy to the beleaguered Iraqi people.
( Marc Lamont Hill )

What the political system works to do is detach and effect.
It is very convenient for arms to be just another manufactured goods, without connecting our consciousness to the death and destruction they are built for.
They won’t put the images of dismembered children in Gaza on arms manufacturers website home pages, but rather they are described as inanimate shiny machines that create jobs and contribute to ‘security’.
( Declassified UK )

In Gaza, around one-third of the land housed some six thousand Jewish settlers, several military bases, and a network of roads designed so that settlers avoided contact with the Palestinian residents.
The remaining two-thirds of the territory, cut into cantons, was left to 1.1 million Palestinians, which translated to a population density of about 128 Israelis per square mile, compared with 11,702 Palestinians per square mile.
The double standard, overcrowding for Palestinians, economic disparity, and resulting resentment and anger were entirely foreseeable.
( Marc Lamont Hill )

Arab Jews Or Palestinian Jews Lived Peacefully Alongside Muslims And Christians.
Some Jews have always lived in Palestine, just like Christians and Muslims.
These Jews were part of the native population.
They spoke Arabic, lived peacefully with their neighbours, and identified as Palestinian Jews.
They did not seek to create a separate state or displace anyone.
They were fully part of the society and culture of historic Palestine.
What changed everything was Zionism, a political movement that came from Europe in the late 1800s.
Zionist settlers were not Palestinian Jews, they were mostly European Ashkenazi Jews who came with the goal of establishing a Jewish state at the expense of the native population.
So when people say “Jews have always lived there”, they’re mixing two very different things.
Yes, Palestinian Jews lived there peacefully.
But Zionist colonisers came later, from Europe, with a plan to remove Palestinians and replace them with a Jewish state.
A small, native Jewish community lived in Palestine for centuries, mainly in cities like Jerusalem, Safed, Hebron, and Tiberias.
These were Arab Jews or Palestinian Jews who spoke Arabic, shared the local culture, and lived peacefully alongside Muslims and Christians.
They did not support Zionism and were often opposed to it, seeing it as a foreign movement that would cause conflict, and they were right.
( Fred O. Wilson )

We need to decide that we will not go to war, whatever reason is conjured up by the politicians or the media, because war in our time is always indiscriminate , a war against innocents, a war against children.
( Howard Zinn )

This Was A Predictable Effect Of An Occupying Power.
Between 1970 and 2001, Israel established twenty-one Jewish-only settlements in the Gaza Strip.
This not only greatly aggravated the political situation, but also placed pressure on the available land and water resources, which the settlements, whose population never rose above some eight thousand Israeli Jews, used in quantities vastly disproportionate to their demographic representation.
This was a predictable effect of an occupying power settling its citizens in a territory that it controlled through military rule, and in the midst of some 1.1 million Palestinians.
It could be similarly anticipated that people living under such conditions would resist occupation, producing tension that would become more pronounced over time.
( Marc Lamont Hill )

The majority of people, it seems, don’t really want the truth.
They just want constant reassurance that what they believe is the truth.
